“Watch as drivers compete in thrilling heats, battling against each other to be the last vehicle standing. This adrenaline-packed show is part of the Bank of the Pacific Grandstand Entertainment Series in the Scholten’s Equipment Arena. Presented by Manna Insurance Group. It’s organized by the Whatcom County Demo Derby Club, a dedicated group passionate about delivering this exhilarating show to fairgoers each summer,” a news release announcing the show stated.

The shows will take place at 7 p.m. each night. Tickets go on sale at 9 a.m. Friday, May 8 and can be purchased online, by phone at 360-354-4111, or at the fair office at 1775 Front St. in Lynden. An online-only presale is available May 6, but is only accessible for subscribers of the NW WA Fair’s email newsletter.

Tickets cost $30 for grandstand reserved seats and $40 for preferred seats. Tickets do not include fair admission, which must be purchased separately.

VIP tickets cost $110 and include fair admission, select seating or party pit admission, a parking pass, dinner from Silver Reef Casino Resort and access to a full no-host bar.

The Demolition Derby is the latest Grandstand performance announced so far for the upcoming fair, following the announcement of a Stone Temple Pilots concert, Grammy-winning Christian singer TobyMac, and hip-hop icons Ja Rule and Fat Joe, CMA award winning country singer Brantley Gilbert and Hawaiian country singer Maoli.
