CMA award-winning country singer coming to NW WA Fair; tickets on sale this week

Lynden’s annual Northwest Washington Fair has announced another concert for its upcoming Grandstand Entertainment series. Multi-platinum-selling country artist Brantley Gilbert will perform at the fair at 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 21.

“Brantley Gilbert is an ACM, CMA, and AMA award-winning performer-songwriter who first entered the scene in 2009 with his chart-topping debut album A Modern Day Prodigal Son. 8.3 billion career streams later, he’s garnered back-to-back platinum albums, a loyal fan-base, and seven No. 1 hits,” a news release from the fair states.

“Known for being one of the godfathers of country’s modern rock-and-rap edge, he also helped write Jason Aldean’s 4x Platinum hit ‘Dirt Road Anthem,’ further solidifying his recognition as an era-defining artist,” the news release states.

Tickets go on sale at 9 a.m. Friday, April 3 and can be purchased online, by phone at 360-354-4111, or at the fair office at 1775 Front St. in Lynden. An online-only presale is available April 1, but is only accessible for subscribers of the NW WA Fair’s email newsletter.

This concert is the fair’s first to feature the “Party Pit,” a standing-only, 21-and-over section in front of the stage with a private beer garden.

Tickets cost $50 for grandstand reserved seats, $65 for grandstand preferred seats or $75 for party pit. Tickets do not include fair admission, which must be purchased separately.

VIP tickets cost $205 and include fair admission, select seating or party pit admission, a parking pass, dinner from Silver Reef Casino Resort and access to a full no-host bar.

The country concert is the fourth Grandstand performance announced so far for the upcoming fair, following the announcement of a Stone Temple Pilots concert, Grammy-winning Christian singer TobyMac, and hip-hop icons Ja Rule and Fat Joe.
