Bellis Fair mall has welcomed a new tenant for a seasonal pop-up, bringing Halloween costumes, decor and more back to Bellingham.

Spirit Halloween is a nationwide Halloween store that pops up seasonally across the country, signaling the beginning of fall and the reminder to buy a costume before it’s too late. The seasonal store has now officially opened at Bellingham’s Bellis Fair mall, according to David Prince, the mall’s general manager.

The Halloween shop will be open through Oct. 31. It is in the previous location of Forever 21, which closed back in April.

Spirit Halloween’s Bellis Fair location is open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.

A new food court tenant is also planned for the mall, though it will not open until October or November, Prince told The Herald.

“We did just sign an agreement with a new food business going in where Fresh Grill used to be. We are doing some work in the back before they take over, and then they will have to go through the Health Department’s processes, so they won’t be open for a few months yet but they have signed. Their name is Kebabji, and they will be doing Kebabs, Shwarma, Falafel, pitas, etc. Should be very good,” Prince told The Herald in July.

Bellis Fair mall is open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday at 1 Bellis Fair Parkway.
