Downtown Ferndale sees third business closure this month, following bakery and saloon

Another downtown Ferndale business is closing permanently, following Ferndale staples Outlaws Saloon and Barb’s Pies and Pastries.

Griffintown’s Cozy Corner Books, a used bookstore, announced its permanent closure and liquidation sale on Sept. 7, through a social media post.

The store’s last day will be Saturday, Sept. 13.

During the final days, all books will be on sale for $1, and furnishings such as chairs, bookshelves, decor and puzzles range in price.

Griffintown’s Cozy Corner Books is open from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday at 5772 Second Ave.

The closure comes just days after Outlaws Saloon announced its upcoming permanent closure, and Barb’s Pies and Pastries closed on Sept. 6.
