Whatcom Roundup: Brewery closes temporarily; tulip festival starts; new food truck opens

Skagit Valley Tulip Festival starts early
The Skagit Valley Tulip Festival showcases a bright variety of blooming tulips and daffodils each spring season.
The tulip festival farms opened this weekend, full of flower displays, food trucks, beer gardens, trolley rides and even nighttime light shows. Here is your guide to each farm, when they are open, and what they offer during the tulip festival.
Boundary Bay Brewery closed temporarily
Boundary Bay Brewery and Bistro is going to be closed Monday, April 1, and Tuesday, April 2, for “team bonding,” according to the restaurant’s website.
The restaurant is regularly open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday at 1107 Railroad Ave. in Bellingham.
Nana J’s closes downtown restaurant to open food truck
Nana J’s, a “fast casual Indian inspired fusion” restaurant has closed its downtown restaurant due to lease issues but is now operating out of a food truck.
The food truck will be at Paws for a Beer at 501 Harris Ave. in Bellingham through May, before moving to The Portal Container Village. Nana J’s is open from 3 to 8 p.m. Monday, Thursday and Friday, and from noon to 8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
