Cat-loving fosters took a chance on 3 puppies — and then something unexpected happened
There has always been a playful divide between dog and cat people, but one family in Texas is proving that could be imaginary.
According to the Houston Humane Society, one such family has found themselves growing thanks to taking on a task they had often overlooked. Usually, this family often would take in cats before they’re ready for adoption, but decided to go a different route earlier in the year.
“Though this family had always been cat fosters, a special call went out for a dog foster— and they answered,” the shelter said in a Facebook post on Dec. 31.
“In May, three tiny 3-week-old puppies joined their home, and their dog-loving dad raised them with all the care in the world until they were ready for adoption. But the smallest of the group, sweet Blossom, had her adoption fall through twice.”
Meanwhile, Blossom became best friends with the family’s dog, Daphne.
“Whether it’s playtime or snuggle time, these two are now the perfect pair!” the shelter said.
That’s right, the family failed in the best way possible.
“And Blossom? She found her forever family all along—with the foster dad who couldn’t imagine life without her. It was truly meant to be,” the shelter said.
