Whatcom Roundup: Downtown bar and eatery closes; new Bellis Fair shop

Downtown restaurant closed
Starla’s, a natural wine bar and pizza restaurant, has permanently closed its doors, according to an March 29 Instagram post.
“Last night was Starla’s final service in Bellingham. Thank you thank you thank you. From the bottom of our hearts, we truly appreciate all the support and love you’ve given us the past (almost) two years. It’s a bittersweet goodbye to this community that’s welcomed us and it’s been an honor to feed you pizza and pour you wine,” the post states.
Starla’s was located at 1149 N State St. in downtown Bellingham.
New pop-up in Bellis Fair
The Bellis Fair mall has announced a new pop-up kiosk shop near American Eagle called Neon Ritual.
The shop offers “rave and party accessories,” according to the social media post announcing the new kiosk.
The Bellis Fair mall is open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday at 1 Bellis Fair Parkway in Bellingham.
Dog grooming company moving
Holy ShihTzu, a dog-grooming business in Bellingham, is moving to a new location, according to a social media post.
Holy ShihTzu was previously located at 2025 James St., Ste 101, but has moved to 335 Ohio St. in Bellingham, where it will welcome clients this week, according to the post.
The business is open regularly from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday and 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday.
