Bellingham home rental survey shows slight average price decrease this month

A survey of rental prices in Bellingham shows a decrease in August prices so far compared to last month.

The average price for Bellingham rentals of all bedrooms and all property types was $2,188 on Aug. 16, according to data from Zillow. That’s a $7 decrease compared to July’s average price, but an increase of $328 compared to August 2024.

“The price range for all bedrooms and all property types is $691 to $11,000,” according to Zillow’s August 2025 data.

Zillow also found that Bellingham’s average rental price was 2% higher than the national average in August.

“A one-bedroom apartment in Bellingham, WA costs about $1,595 on average, while a two-bedroom apartment is $1,875,” according to real estate data company Zumper. “Houses for rent in Bellingham, WA are more expensive, with an average monthly cost of $2,897”

  • Lynden: $2,100
  • Blaine: $2,350
  • ​Ferndale: $2,295
  • Point Roberts: $1,900
  • ​Sumas: $1,595
  • Everson: $2,150
  • ​Birch Bay: $2,100
  • Deming: $2,700
