“Looking ahead, I’ve made the difficult decision to close Fairhaven Poke by the end of 2025 — or sooner, depending on how things unfold,” the post states. “For now, the doors will remain open to support our amazing team as they finish their degrees and transition to new opportunities.”

No official closing date has been announced.

Fairhaven Poke is open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at 1102 Harris Ave. in Bellingham.

New museum opening

MUSEO, a new museum in Bellingham, is planned to open next month.

The new museum was started by The Helen Loggie Museum of Art and is “an assemblage of several collections — tied together with Bellingham as its anchor. Paintings by Ira Yeager, pottery by Louis Mideke, historic maps, posters and newspapers, and more. Housed in the fully-restored 1913 US Hotel building,” according to a social media post.

The new museum’s grand opening will run from noon to 3 p.m. on Saturday, March 15 at 704 W. Holly St. The museum is currently open by reservation only on the second and fourth Thursdays of each month.

Love from London delays opening

Bellingham’s newest eatery and sweet shop, Love from London, has postponed its opening.

The new London-themed ice cream, waffle and candy shop was expected to open Saturday, Feb. 22, but will now have its grand opening on Saturday, March 1.

The shop’s regular operating hours have not been announced. Love from London is at 1301 Commercial St., next door to Third Planet Boutique.
