Bellingham February events: Jazz festival, brewery party, roller skating and more on tap

Bellingham events
▪ Adored, a boutique in Fairhaven, is hosting a Valentine’s Sip-n-Shop Shopping Event from 3 to 6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 6. The special event includes nonalcoholic cocktails and drinks from Bloomhaven Bottle Shop and permanent jewelry by The Little Refinery. Adored is at 913 Harris Ave.
▪ Open Roller Skate is back at The Depot from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 7. The free event is open to all ages. Participants must bring their own skates, knee pads and other skating accessories. Open Roller Skate is at Depot Market Square, 1100 Railroad Ave.
▪ Free First Friday at the Whatcom Museum, a free admission event at the museum, will run from noon to 9 p.m. Friday, Feb. 7, and includes free baby and toddler music classes, clay classes, live music performances, keychain making and more. The Whatcom Museum is at 250 Flora St.
▪ The Fairhaven Chocolate Walk is returning for its fourth year from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 8. Tickets are available now, and participants are invited to walk throughout historic Fairhaven, try chocolates from 18 different stops and shop local businesses. Tickets are still available online and cost $35 per person, which includes the 18 chocolate tastings and a collection bag. The event is open to all ages. Tickets can be purchased online at the Fairhaven Association website.
▪ The B’ham Swing Jam, a dance festival featuring live jazz music, dance classes and dance team competitions will run from Feb. 14-16. Tickets are required and can be purchased online in advance, and prices range from $100-$225, depending on age group and days of admission. The festival is at 1224 Cornwall Ave.
▪ Aslan Brewing Co. is celebrating its seven-year depot anniversary from noon to close on Saturday, Feb. 15. The free event includes live music, flash tattoos and special drink options including a new beer release, natural wine, craft cocktails and vintage anniversary beers on tap. Aslan Brewing Co’s Depot is at 1322 N. State St.

▪ The Blue Room, a live music and event venue, regularly hosts live performers and performances, including jazz nights, local artists, and improv nights. Tickets are available online in advance. The Blue Room is at 202 E. Holly St.
▪ The Shakedown, a live music venue and bar, regularly hosts live music and performers. Tickets are available online in advance. The Shakedown is at 1212 N State St.
▪ Wild Buffalo House of Music, a live music and event venue, regularly hosts live music from a variety of bands and performers. Tickets are available online in advance. Wild Buffalo House of Music is at 208 W. Holly St.
