New restaurant coming to Fairhaven

A new restaurant may be moving into Fairhaven’s historic red double-decker bus that previously housed Fairhaven Village Tacos.

A building permit was filed for a pizza oven at the 1020 Harris Ave. restaurant space for Tam Tam Pizza, a local pizza food trailer operating across Whatcom County. The permit was filed Dec. 23 and approved by the city Dec. 27. The Bellingham Herald reached out to Tam Tam Pizza but did not receive a response as of Jan. 2.

Bellingham boutique under new ownership

Adored Boutique, a clothing and home goods boutique, is now under new ownership, according to a Jan. 1 social media post.

The boutique’s manager, Melissa Hatcher, has now become the sole owner of the shop.

“Rest assured, while this marks a new chapter, the heart of Adored will remain the same. I am deeply committed to preserving everything you love about our boutique ... making each guest feel valued, adored, and loved will always be central to what we do,” Hatcher wrote in the Facebook post.

Adored Boutique is open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday and Wednesday through Saturday, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday, and from noon to 5 p.m. Sunday at 913 Harris Ave.

Local brewery closes permanently

Twin Sisters Brewing Company announced it is closing after six years of business in a social media post Tuesday, Dec. 31.

The brewery, beer garden and restaurant have been purchased by Stemma Brewing Co., which plans to renovate and reopen the space in 2025, according to previous reporting by The Bellingham Herald.

Twin Sisters Brewing Company was located at 505 Carolina St. in Bellingham.
