The Mt. Baker Ski Area has announced an opening date, and this year you’ll be able to take a run down the mountain before your Thanksgiving dinner.

The popular ski area for snowboarding, skiing and other outdoor sports has already built up a 59-inch snow base at Heather Meadows and a 65-inch snow base at pan dome, allowing the ski area to open for pass holders only on Wednesday, Nov. 20.

The ski area will be open for all guests on Thursday, Nov. 21. Last year, the ski area did not open until Dec. 13-14.

For the latest updates, check the ski area’s snow report.

Daily lift tickets will be available starting Thursday, Nov. 21 at the ski area only. Ticket prices range from $30.04 to $94.27 and vary by age and full-day or afternoon passes. Lift tickets are free for children ages 6 and younger.

Chairlifts run from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and the lodge facilities are open from 8 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. daily.
