Here’s our weekly roundup of the latest retail and restaurant activity around Whatcom County:

Mercurys Coffee Co. plans Bellingham location

Mercurys Coffee Co., a Washington chain of espresso shops, is planning a Bellingham location.

The chain also has locations in Kirkland, Bellevue, Everett and more. This would be the coffee company’s first Whatcom County location.

The coffee stand is planned at 1100 E Sunset Drive, the previous location of Big Foot Java. No opening date has been announced, but the location is listed as “coming soon” on the business’ website.

Anytime Fitness remodel completed

Anytime Fitness in Barkley Village has undergone a complete remodel, after originally opening in 2017.

“Our goal was to make Anytime Fitness Bellingham not just a place to work out, but a place our members are proud to call home,” Charley Fraser, Co-Owner at Anytime Fitness Bellingham said in a news release. “We wanted to create a space that reflects the energy, community, and commitment of our members.”

The remodel includes a “refreshed layout,” upgraded equipment, lighting and flooring, and changes to training zones, coaching areas and recovery areas.

Members and non-members are invited to come tour the space and see the renovations.

Anytime Fitness is open 24/7 at 2219 Rimland Dr. Suite 103 in Bellingham.
