Bellis Fair mall losing another chain store, though new shops are on the way

Bellis Fair mall is losing a chain retail store, although other shops may soon join the mall’s lineup.

Earthbound Trading Co., a clothing, home decor and gift shop with locations across the country, is permanently closing, according to David Prince, the mall’s general manager.

The store is currently hosting a closing sale, selling its inventory and furnishings at discounted prices.

No closing date has been announced.

Last month, Forever 21 also announced its closure as the company filed for bankruptcy.

Bellis Fair management is “in conversations with several prospective businesses” to open in the mall, according to Prince, but agreements with the new tenants have not been finalized.

Bellis Fair mall is open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday at 1 Bellis Fair Way in Bellingham.
