Tam Tam Pizza opens in Fairhaven

Fairhaven’s newest restaurant is having a soft opening April 17-20. Tam Tam Pizza has taken over the iconic red double-decker bus and will be open 4 to 8 p.m. Thursdays through Sundays in April, according to an Instagram post. The pizza bus serves handmade pizzas with a variety of toppings.

New restaurant planned for Sunset Square

A new business named Sourdough & Co. is planned for Sunset Square at 1145 E Sunset Dr. Suite 125. A building permit application was filed Sept. 5 and was approved April 1.

Sourdough & Co. is a bakery and cafe restaurant chain with locations in California, Texas, Oregon, Nevada and other states, but no other locations in Washington.

Blaine restaurant closing

Blaine’s GOAT Sandwiches is closing permanently, according to a Facebook post on the business’ profile.

The restaurant is open from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and 8 to 11 a.m. Saturday at 4580 Legion Dr. in Blaine.

Dirty Dan’s makes reopening plans

Dirty Dan’s Steakhouse may be reopening, as a new building permit application has been filed for a remodel due to water damage. The application was filed April 8 and approved April 9.

The Steakhouse has been closed since the Harris Aven fire in 2023.

The restaurant’s website currently displays the following statement: “Due to the devastating fire in the Terminal Building, Dirty Dan’s is closed indefinitely. We are amazed watching our community rise up and rally behind everyone that’s been affected. The outpouring of love and support from Bellingham and beyond has been mind blowing and we can’t begin to thank you all enough.”

No reopening date has been announced. Dirty Dan’s Steakhouse is at 1211 11th St. in Bellingham.

New Fairhaven pharmacy

A new pharmacy is planned for Fairhaven at 1115 Harris Ave., the previous location of Current and Furbish.

Fairhaven Pharmacy filed a building permit application to remodel the retail space April 7. The application had not been approved as of April 11.

New Bellingham Mexican restaurant

Tacos y birria el botas, a family-owned Mexican restaurant, has opened in Bellingham. The restaurant is open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily at 784 Kentucky St., the previous location of COF& coffee shop in the Sunnyland neighborhood.
