Bellingham boat manufacturer lands contract to build more Alaska tour vessels
All American Marine is expecting another busy year after landing a new contract to build two more boats.
The boat manufacturer announced that it will build two 87-foot vessels for Major Marine Tours, an Alaska boat tour company. Each vessel can carry 150 passengers and will expand the tour company’s fleet, according to a news release Tuesday, Feb. 4.
Marine Marine Tours offers wildlife and glacier cruises in the Kenai Fjords National Park.
All American will build Teknicraft catamarans, with the hull providing a cushioned effect to give passengers a smooth ride when encountering waves, according to the news release.
All American Marine recently completed a 79-foot catamaran for the Texas Fish and Wildlife to patrol the Gulf of Mexico. The company was also recently selected to complete maintenance work on a number of U.S. Coast Guard motor lifeboats.
