‘Thank you for being part of our story’: Bellingham bistro closing permanently
Magdalena’s Bistro and Crêperie will be closing permanently later this year.
The European bistro in Bellingham was launched by Polish chef Magdalena Theisen, and serves authentic, housemade pierogies, crepes, soups, sandwiches and breakfast options.
“After many years of cooking, baking and running my own place, I’m entering the last year of operation. As we mentioned earlier we will close our door in September this year,” a Jan. 2 social media post by Theisen states.
“Food has been my language for as long as I can remember. It connects people, carries memories, and keeps us close to our roots. That hasn’t changed — only the direction is evolving. I’m taking everything I’ve learned — the long days, the quiet mornings, the guests, the stories — and carrying it forward into what comes next,” Theisen wrote in the Facebook post.
Magdalena’s Bistro and Crêperie is open from 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Thursday, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, and 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at 1200 10th St. Suite 103 in Bellingham.
“Thank you for being part of our story. With gratitude, curiosity, and an open heart. It has truly meant the world to me to us,” Theisen wrote.
