Restaurant opening inside Bellingham Walmart next week as part of new chain partnership
A new restaurant is opening in Bellingham this month, but not where you might expect.
Catch is a restaurant launched by Just Poke — a chain of Poke restaurants with over 32 locations across the Pacific Northwest. It’s set to open inside Bellingham’s Walmart on Tuesday, Feb. 18.
Just Poke first filed for a building permit with the city of Bellingham for the new restaurant in October 2024, according to previous reporting by The Herald.
Catch will be opening locations inside nine Walmart stores in Washington, according to a news release from Just Poke.
“As Walmart seeks to reach health-conscious consumers with premium selections and goods, Catch by Just Poké delivers a combination of popular poké bowls and sushi rolls offering raw and cooked protein options. Fan-favorite menu items include Spicy Ahi Nachos, Hawaiian Ahi Poké Bowls, Salmon Avocado Poké Bowls, Spicy Tuna Rolls, and California Rolls utilizing fresh, certified sustainable fish and locally grown produce. The Catch menu will also feature Acai Bowls and Smoothies,” the news release states.
Bellingham’s Catch location will also have a ribbon-cutting event at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 1.
“Following the ribbon cutting on March 1, Catch by Just Poké will host a community celebration, offering the first 100 customers a free bowl, followed by a ‘buy one get one 50%’ promotion for the remainder of the day,” the news release states.
The Bellingham location will be Catch’s first Walmart location, and second location overall following an opening at Seattle’s Climate Pledge Area.
No regular operating hours have been announced. Bellingham’s Walmart is open from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily at 4420 Meridian St.
