Downtown Bellingham coffee shop and cafe permanently closing on its third anniversary
Another restaurant is closing permanently in downtown Bellingham, following the recent announcements of Bayou on Bay and Boundary Bay Brewery closing this year.
Narrative Coffee, an Everett-based coffee company and from-scratch kitchen, is closing its Bellingham location that opened in 2022.
The coffee shop will close permanently Feb. 22, the location’s three-year anniversary.
“Our intention in ending on this day is to celebrate the past few years we’ve gotten to serve this community in this space, and acknowledging the end of our time here together,” states a social media post.
“Industry wide, the last handful of years have been tough times for businesses like ours. Our cafe in Bellingham is a small, neighborhood spot (which we love), but simply put it has not been able to garner enough support to make keeping the doors open up north sustainable for us,” the post states.
The coffee company’s Everett location will remain open, according to the post.
“It’s not without much consideration that decisions like this are made, and regardless of this part of our narrative coming to a close, we couldn’t be more grateful to have been a part of this community over the last few years,” the post states.
Bellingham’s Narrative Coffee will remain open until Saturday, Feb. 22 from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at 1400 W. Holly St.
