Buffalo Wild Wings, a national sports bar chain Bellingham Herald readers voted Whatcom’s best sports bar, plans to offer free wings to everyone in the country if the Super Bowl goes into overtime Sunday, Feb. 12.

This is the fifth year in a row that the deal has been offered, although only one Super Bowl has ever gone into overtime, according to FanDuel, an online sports gambling company that says the chances of the Super Bowl going in overtime is a “rare likelihood.”

But if Sunday’s game does go into overtime because of a tied score, everyone in the country can get six free wings from 4-7 p.m. local time on Monday, Feb. 27, according to a news release. The offer includes both boneless and traditional wings, and is only available for dine-in or in-person takeout.

Buffalo Wild Wings is at 6 Bellis Fair Parkway in Bellingham and will be open from 11 a.m. to midnight on Sunday for the Super Bowl if you want to watch the Philadelphia Eagles take on the Kansas City Chiefs at 3:30 p.m.

The sports bar is open from 11 a.m. to midnight Sunday through Thursday, and from 11 a.m. to 1 a.m. Friday and Saturday.
