‘Most exhilarating and loud experience.’ Poll finds the best sports bar in Whatcom County

We asked readers where to find the best sports bar in Whatcom County and the votes are in.

The poll had seven local sports bar options in Whatcom County including Extremes Sports Grill and Pizzeria, Slo Pitch Sports Grill and Casino, Buffalo Wild Wings and The Wheelhouse Bar and Grill. The unscientific poll received a total of 40 votes.

Buffalo Wild Wings received 10 votes to top the list of the best sports bar in Whatcom County.

The national chicken wing chain restaurant is known for its burgers, fried pickles, full bar and 26 sauce flavors for chicken wings.

The popular sports bar and restaurant is located at Bellis Fair Mall, and is great for watching your favorite sports team, as the restaurant has multiple TVs on each wall.

The Bellingham Buffalo Wild Wings has also been reviewed online, receiving a 2.5-star rating from 151 Yelp reviews.

Buffalo Wild Wings is open from 11 a.m. to midnight Sunday through Thursday and from 11 a.m. to 1 a.m. Friday and Saturday, and is in Bellingham at 6 Bellis Fair Parkway.

Following Buffalo Wild Wings with eight votes were Grand Avenue Alehouse and Extremes Sports Grill and Pizzeria.

Both of these Bellingham restaurants have pub fare food and full bars, and have also received high ratings from Yelp.

Grand Avenue Alehouse has received a 3.5-star rating from 26 reviews on Yelp, and Extremes Sports Grill and Pizzeria received a 4-star rating from 131 reviews on Yelp.

Grand Avenue Alehouse is open from 11 a.m.- 2 a.m. Monday through Friday, from 3 p.m.-2 a.m. Saturday and from 5 p.m. to midnight on Sunday, and is in Bellingham at 113 Grand Ave.

Extremes Sports Grill and Pizzeria is open from 3-9 p.m. Monday through Thursday and from 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday through Sunday, and is in Bellingham at 4156 Meridian St.

Slo Pitch Sports Grill and Casino came in third place with five votes, followed by The Wheelhouse Bar and Grill, Bellingham Bar & Grill and Applebee’s tying with three votes.
