We asked readers where to find the best french fries in Whatcom County and the votes are in.
The poll had 15 local restaurant options in Whatcom County including Grant’s Burgers, Aslan Brewing Co., Fiamma Burger and The Filling Station. The unscientific poll received a total of 165 votes, and did not include national chain restaurants.

Boomers Drive-In received 38 votes to top the list of the best french fries in Whatcom County.
The classic drive-in restaurant is known for its burgers, and was recently named the best affordable burger in Whatcom County by winning a reader poll in The Bellingham Herald, winning over nine other local competitors.
Visitors can enjoy a variety of beef, chicken, fish and veggie burgers, as well as onion rings, hard ice cream malts and deep-fried mushrooms.
Boomers Drive-In is praised for its seasoned waffle fries, as well as sweet potato waffle fries and curly fries.
The beloved Bellingham restaurant is also celebrating its 34th anniversary by discounting all burgers on its menu to $3.44 for a limited time.
Boomers Drive-In is also well-reviewed online, receiving a 3.5-star rating from 475 Yelp reviews.
Boomers Drive-In is open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and is in Bellingham at 310 N. Samish Way.

Fiamma Burger serves more than the classic burgers and fries as its menu also features dishes such as a spicy fried chicken sandwich, salmon burgers and black bean burgers. The restaurant has classic potato fries, as well as garlic fries, poutine, sweet potato fries and onion rings.
Fiamma Burger is also well-loved online, receiving a 4-star rating from 419 reviews on Yelp.
Fiamma Burger is open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily and is in Bellingham at 1309 Railroad Ave.
The Filling Station came in third place with 23 votes, followed by Grant’s Burgers with 13 votes and Scotty Browns with 11 votes.
