Bellingham’s December events: Brewfest, tree lighting and more
Looking for fun events to do in December? Here is your monthly roundup of key Bellingham events, festivals, trivia nights and live music this month.

Bellingham events
- Stemma West Holiday Market, an annual market with 25 vendors, will return to Stemma Brewing from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 4. The free event will feature local vendors, beer, wine and nonalcoholic beverages, and food available from The Riviera Club or Tacos Tepozteco. Stemma West is at 500 Carolina St. in Bellingham.
- The Downtown Tree Lighting Ceremony in Bellingham will run from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6 at 1100 Railroad Ave. The lighting is free to attend, and includes free cookies, hot cocoa and activities. The tree will be lit at 6 p.m.
- Winter BrewFest 2025, a 21-and-over event, will run from 4 to 7 p.m. Dec. 6. Tickets are required, and include access to food trucks, brewery tastings, live music and photos with Santa. Tickets are available online it advance. The festival is at Fishermen’s Pavilion at 2599 S Harbor Loop Dr. in Bellingham.
- The Bellingham Farmers Market features more than 100 vendors and is open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays at Depot Market Square at 1100 Railroad Ave. in Bellingham. The market runs every Saturday through Dec. 20.
- The Bellingham Dockside Market features fresh fish from local fishermen and a variety of vendors from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6 and Saturday, Dec. 20 at Squalicum Harbor, 2599 S. Harbor Loop Drive.
- Arts and Ales, Aslan Brewing Co.’s annual holiday market, will run from 3 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6. The free market will feature vendors, live music and drink specials at both Aslan Brewery locations in Bellingham. Aslan Depot is at 1322 N. State St., and Aslan Brewpub is at 1330 N Forest St.
- Open Roller Skate is returning to The Depot from 6 to 8 p.m. Dec. 12. Participants are invited to bring their own skating gear. The event is free for all ages at Depot Market Square at 1100 Railroad Ave.

Live music in Bellingham

- The Aslan Brewing Co. Depot welcomes local artists throughout the month. For the music lineup, check the schedule online. Aslan Brewing Co. Depot is at 1322 N. State St.
- Kulshan Brewing Company’s various breweries are hosting live music all month. For the music lineup and locations, check the schedule online.
- The Blue Room, a live music and event venue, regularly hosts live performers and performances, including jazz nights, local artists, and improv nights. Tickets are available online in advance. The Blue Room is at 202 E. Holly St.
- The Shakedown, a live music venue and bar, regularly hosts live music and performers. Tickets are available online in advance. The Shakedown is at 1212 N State St.Wild Buffalo House of Music, a live music and event venue, regularly hosts live music from a variety of bands and performers. Tickets are available online in advance. Wild Buffalo House of Music is at 208 W. Holly St.
- Bar Two Eleven, a bar and music venue, regularly hosts live music and concerts. Tickets are available online in advance. Bar Two Eleven is at 211 E Chestnut St.
- Admiralty Lounge, a restaurant and lounge, regularly has live music from a variety of musicians from 7-9 p.m. on Tuesdays. Admiralty Lounge is at 100 N. Commercial St.
