Northwest Washington Fair organizers announce remainder of live music lineup

The Northwest Washington Fair is returning to Lynden in August, bringing a lineup of live entertainment to its grandstand arena, along with the typical carnival rides, games and fun foods.

The fair has already announced live concerts by American country singer Jake Owen; Chandler Moore, a Grammy-winning Christian music singer and part of Maverick City Music; and iconic rock group ZZ Top.

Fair officials recently announced the final show joining the lineup: Country Shuffle, a concert featuring country singers Colt Ford, Conner Smith and David Lee Murphy.

“Colt Ford is a singer, songwriter, rapper, musician, performer, and co-founder and co-owner of Average Joes Entertainment with albums and songs that have seen incredible success in various genres. His album ‘Declaration of Independence’ reached No. 1 on the Billboard Top Country Albums Chart in 2012, and two years later ‘Thanks for Listening’ reached #1 on Billboard Rap & Independent Charts,” a news release from the fair states.

Ford has also collaborated with Keith Urban, Brad Paisley, Toby Keith and Jake Owen.

“David Lee Murphy has achieved major success as both a singer and a songwriter. ‘Party Crowd’, which Radio & Records awarded the most played song on Country Radio in 1995, was another hit that came from his debut platinum-selling album ‘Out With A Bang.’ Other top hits from that album include ‘Out With A Bang’, ‘Fish Ain’t Bitin’ and ‘Just Once’. He went on to create three more albums before focusing on songwriting,” the news release states.

Murphy has written songs for Jason Aldean, Kenny Chesney, Jake Owen and Kip More, and has a duet tited “Everything’s Gonna Be Alright” with Kenny Chesney.

“Emerging country singer, Conner Smith, has already seen epic accomplishments in the early stages of his career. His 2024 album ‘Smoky Mountains’ included hit songs ‘Creek Will Rise,’ a GOLD-certified, multi-week international chart-topper, and ‘Meanwhile In Carolina.’ Additionally, his track ‘Steal My Thunder’(feat. Tucker Wetmore) was featured in the summer blockbuster ‘Twisters:The Movie.’ To add to his accomplishments, the singer/songwriter also received his first ACM Awards nomination in 2024,” the news release states.

The three artists will perform at 7 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 9 at the fair.

Tickets are currently on sale for $45-$70 and do not include fair admission, which is required to attend any grandstand entertainment events. Tickets can be purchased online, at the Fair Office at 1775 Front. St. in Lynden, or by calling 360-354-4111.

The Northwest Washington Fair will return to Lynden Aug. 7-16.
