‘Thrill of crashing cars’: More live entertainment coming to NW WA Fair
The Northwest Washington Fair is coming back to Lynden this August, bringing a lineup of concerts and live entertainment to its Grandstand arena.
The fair has already announced live concerts by American country singer Jake Owen, Chandler Moore, a Grammy-winning Christian music singer and part of Maverick City Music, and iconic rock group ZZ Top.
Now, the NW WA Fair is announcing another entertainment guest coming to the arena: The Demolition Derby, which will kick off the fair Aug. 7-8.
“Experience the thrill of crashing cars as drivers compete to be the last vehicle standing. This riveting show is fun for all ages and is sure to entertain from start to finish. The Demolition Derby is organized by the Whatcom County Demo Derby Club, a dedicated group that is passionate about delivering this exhilarating show to fairgoers each summer,” a news release from the fair stated.
Tickets cost $30-$40 and do not include fair admission, which is required to attend any grandstand entertainment events.
Tickets will go on sale at 9 a.m. Wednesday, May 7, for the fair’s email list subscribers, or Friday, May 9, for the general public. Tickets can be purchased online, at the Fair Office at 1775 Front. St. in Lynden, or by calling 360-354-4111.
The Northwest Washington Fair will return to Lynden Aug. 7-16.
