Former Nooksack Valley High School, Whatcom Community College and Western Washington University basketball player Kyle Impero has been added to the roster of the Bellingham Slam, according to a release.

Impero, a 6-foot-4 guard, was the Vikings’ third-leading scorer last season, averaging 15.0 points per game and led the squad with 7.1 rebounds per game. He also logged 89 assists and a team-high 40 steals in 31 games.

Impero becomes the seventh former Viking on the Slam’s roster this year, joining Anye Turner, Tyler Amaya, Morris Anderson, Austin Bragg, Drew Ready and Jacob Stevenson. Lummi Nation School’s Trazil Lane also is on the roster.

After a year hiatus, the Slam moves to the Seattle Pro-Am this summer and will open play July 2 against the Kitsap Admirals at Royal Brougham Pavilion on the campus of Seattle Pacific University.
