When does ski season end at resorts across Washington state? See closing dates
Time is running out to ski and snowboard on one of Washington state’s most popular peaks.
Mount Baker Ski Area will close for the season on Sunday, April 19, resort representatives told McClatchy Media via phone.
“Winter is still kicking around up in the mountains,” representatives at the Deming ski resort wrote in an April 1 Instagram post. “Come get some before it’s gone.”
Mount Baker isn’t the only Evergreen State resort that’s hanging up its skis in coming weeks.

When do Washington ski resorts close for the season?
According to On The Snow, a mountain condition tracking website, several ski resorts across Washington ski resorts will be closing for the season in April or May.
Alpental in North Bend, Stevens Pass Ski Resort in Skykomish and Summit at Snoqualmie will close on Sunday, April 12, according to their websites.
White Pass Ski Area in Naches and Crystal Mountain Resort in Enumclaw are projected to close on Sunday, April 26. .
As of Tuesday, April 7, a number of Washington ski resorts — including 49 Degrees North Mountain Resort, Bluewood, Mission Ridge Ski & Board Resort and Mount Spokane Ski & Snowboard Park — had already closed for the season.
When will resorts open again?
Itching to get your ski or snowboard fix? Depending on where you live in Washington state, you might have to wait several months.
Opening dates depend heavily on weather conditions.
For example, Mount Baker Ski Area delayed the opening date of the 2025-26 season due to a lack of snow, McClatchy Media previously reported.
As of Tuesday, some ski resorts in the Evergreen State were planning reopening dates ranging from late November to late December.
Currently, Bluewood and Mount Spokane Ski & Snowboard Park have projected reopening dates of Saturday, Dec. 26, according to On The Snow.
49 Degrees North planned to reopen on Thursday, Dec. 31, according to On The Snow.
