Rescued 15-year-old cat ‘deserves to feel safe’ in final years. Zodiak needs a home
A very sweet and deserving cat is looking for a home filled with warmth and cuddles during his golden years after experiencing past torment in Philadelphia.
Zodiak, a gray and white Manx/mix, has had a rocky life filled with realities that could have broken him if it wasn’t for his loving disposition.
“Zodiak is 15 years old,” the Pennsylvania SPCA said in a Nov. 20 Facebook post.
“And sadly, many of those years were spent suffering, until our Animal Law Enforcement team rescued him this past summer.
“But despite the hardships he faced, his resilience never wavered. After spending time in our shelter hospital, receiving the care and attention he so desperately needed, Zodiak is now healthy, happy, and ready to begin the next chapter of his life.”
Specifics about what exactly Zodiak endured was not provided.
People tend to seek out younger kittens in shelters so they can give them a full and healthy life, but senior pets also need love during their final days.
“He may a bit rough around the edges - missing some teeth, occasionally drooling, and at times crusty - but he has so much love to give,” the shelter continued. “With his raspy meow and soft head butts, he is sure to win over your heart with little effort.
“Zodiak deserves to feel safe, cherished, and adored in his final years. Could you be the one to give him the love and care he’s been waiting for?”
