Burger King brings back fan-favorite sandwich – but not for long. When you can get it

Burger King is shaking up its menu with the return of a fan-favorite sandwich, plus a new twist on an old classic.

Melts are back on menus for a limited time starting March 6, the national burger chain announced in a news release.

The sandwiches featuring “two slices of toasted bread, layered with two flame-grilled Whopper Jr. patties” and melted cheese will be available to purchase at participating restaurants nationwide through May 14. Customers can choose from three varieties:

  • Classic Melt featuring toasted bread, two burger patties, melted American cheese, caramelized onions and Stack Sauce.
  • Spicy Melt featuring toasted bread, two burger patties, melted American cheese, jalapenos, caramelized onions and a creamy spicy sauce.

  • Bacon Melt featuring toasted bread, two burger patties, melted American cheese, bacon, caramelized onions and Stacker Sauce.

Pricing information wasn’t immediately available.

A twist on its classic Chicken Fries, the burger chain will also introduce new Spicy Chicken Fries, the release said. The limited-time offering is seasoned with a “blend of spices that are sure to pack a punch” and is just the latest iteration of Burger King’s potato-free “fries.”

The Spicy Chicken Fries are also available March 6 - May 14.
