A Bellingham woman who crashed her car into two trees in Skagit County on Sunday, Feb. 22 remained in serious condition Monday.
Emma C. Chabal, 22, was in serious, but stable, condition at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle on Monday afternoon, according to the hospital.
Around 5:15 a.m. Sunday, Chabal was driving southbound on Old Highway 99 near Driftin Lane when the car swerved off the road near the intersection and hit two trees, according to the Washington State Patrol.
She was transported to Skagit Valley Hospital and then transferred to Harborview Medical Center. Her white 1998 Toyota Avalon was totaled.

The cause of the crash was under investigation.
