Police looking for organized thieves who hit Bellingham business

Police are asking for help finding suspects who distracted employees in a Bellingham business, stole their credit cards, and used them to buy gift cards at Target and Safeway.

Bellingham police said in a Facebook post that several law enforcement agencies in Washington are looking for the group of organized thieves.

Lt. Bob Vander Yacht confirmed Q13 Fox’s identification of the suspects’ names: Dallas Bailey-Rich, Reymond Lozano and Daaoshara Degrate.

The suspects typically target smaller stores, he said. Two of them distract an employee, while a third steals employees’ wallets and personal items behind the counter.

Vander Yacht said they recently stole wallets at one Bellingham businesses and immediately used the stolen credit cards to buy hundreds of dollars worth of gift cards to Target and Safeway.

The thieves have previously stolen from businesses in Tacoma and Gig Harbor, Vander Yacht said.
