Police release photos of Bellingham home-invasion suspects

Police have released photos of two men suspected of invading an apartment in downtown Bellingham on Saturday, Jan. 24.

Police said three armed men tried to force their way into a studio apartment Saturday afternoon above a Starbucks coffee shop at Railroad Avenue and Holly Street.

One of the assailants, Datyous Mahmoudian, was tackled by apartment residents and held until police arrested him under suspicion of first-degree assault, burglary and robbery.

The other two suspects escaped. Police released photos from nearby cameras of one of the suspects running away from the scene. Another photo shows the same suspect entering the apartment building. The last photo shows the third suspect entering the building.

Police are asking anyone with information about the suspects to call their tip line at 360-778-8611.
