A man was shot during what authorities are describing as a road rage incident in Bellingham, and a suspect has been arrested, according to Megan Peters with the Bellingham Police Department.

The shooting occurred around 9 a.m. Sunday during an incident involving two vehicles near the intersection of Iowa and Moore streets. Peters said the vehicles involved were a green Ford Explorer and a silver Honda sedan.

The man who was shot drove himself to the St. Joseph Medical Center and later reported the shooting. Investigators are waiting to interview him again after he undergoes treatment for his injuries, Peters said.

Investigators were able to identify Kipp Bradely Snell, 23, as a suspect. He was arrested on suspicion of first-degree assault and reckless endangerment. Police were unable to provide a town of residence for either of the two people involved.

Investigators are asking for any witnesses to call 360-778-8645 or visit www.cob.org/tips and reference case number 24B-47842.
