Washington property owners and managers of affordable low-income housing facilities who suffered damages due to the December 2025 flooding may be eligible for state funding to support repairs.

The Washington State Department of Commerce is asking property owners to respond to an online survey in order to determine if they are eligible for reimbursement.

The “Survey of Need” will help the Department of Commerce issue funds to property owners to help rehabilitate or replace housing or facilities that are:

  • Facilities housing low-income migrant, seasonal, or temporary farmworkers.
  • Affordable multifamily rental housing.
  • Affordable manufactured or mobile home communities.

The available funding was appropriated by the 2026 Washington State Supplemental Capital Budget to support the improvement of these specific housing and facility types.

The deadline to complete the survey is 11:45 p.m. Pacific Time July 31.

After reviewing responses, the Department of Commerce will determine how to best make the funding available and announce an application process.

Anyone with questions about the survey is asked to email HTFRepair@commerce.wa.gov.
