Whatcom Roundup: New workout studio; pizza chain coming to Lynden

Here’s our weekly roundup of the latest retail and restaurant activity around Whatcom County:

New workout studio opening

Infrared workout studio HOTWORX is planning a new location in Bellingham.

A building permit application has been filed for a HOTWORX sign at 332 36th St. The application was filed April 24 and approved April 28.

No opening date has been announced, but the new location will be open 24 hours a day for members.

Sahara Pizza opening in Lynden

A Sahara Pizza location is planned for Lynden, with plans to open in summer.

“Hello Lynden!! We’re THRILLED to announce, yes, we’re opening here in Bender Plaza at 8874 Bender Rd, Suite 109A! We’re *hoping* to be open mid-summer! We’ll have the same menu as our Birch Bay location with a few additions such as beer on tap and wine,” a Facebook post from the restaurant states.

“We ALSO will have a dine-in option for those of you that would like to stay and eat! We will of course be delivering to all of Lynden and providing take out,” the post states.

No official opening date has been set.
