It’s a special time to celebrate women everywhere.

For the moms in Bellingham, you may be searching for the perfect activity to celebrate. Luckily, there are a handful of brunches and other family friendly activities.

Floral Market Pop-Up

When: 11 a.m., Saturday, May 9

Where: Aslan Brewing Co., 1330 North Forest St. in Bellingham

What: Craft a special bouquet or shop for pre-made floral arrangements at this Aslan Brewpub event. Special drinks and a brunch menu are also in store.

Mother’s Day Paint & Sip

When: 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday, May 9

Where: Hotel Leo, 1224 Cornwall Ave., Bellingham

What: Create your own watercolor wildflowers at this painting class taught by local artist Holly Hudson. In addition to three hours of guided instruction, supplies and a take-home watercolor kit, attendees get a complimentary glass of wine, beer or cocktail. Additional drinks and an à la carte menu will be available for purchase.

A Toast to Mom: Poems & Pints

When: Noon to 3 p.m., Sunday, May 10

Where: Structures Brewing, 601 West Holly St., Bellingham

What: Raise a pint to Mom at this fundraiser for the Salish Sea Poetry Festival. Attendees can enjoy “an afternoon of good food and brews, laid-back Bellingham vibes and something truly special: poetry composed ... by celebrated local poets with their trusty typewriters,” organizers said. Live music, rock painting and a raffle are also in store.

Mother’s Day Brunch

Where: B-Town Kitchen & Raw Bar, 714 Lakeway Drive in Bellingham

Admission: $58 per person

What: Let Bellingham seafood restaurant B-Town Kitchen & Raw Bar do the cooking with a special Mother’s Day brunch menu, complete with fresh oysters. All mothers get complementary mimosas with their meals.

Where: Chuckanut Bay Distillery, 1309 Cornwall Ave., Bellingham

What: Chuckanut Bay Distillery is transforming its ballroom into a brunch haven. “Join us for a festive buffet featuring seasonal dishes, fresh pastries, live stations and plenty of family-friendly options,” organizers said, plus live music and complementary mimosas for moms.

Mother’s Day on the Flower Farm
