These Bellingham offices and businesses will close Thursday for New Year’s Day
New Year’s Day is Thursday, Jan. 1, and to honor the holidays some local stores, banks and other businesses will be closed.
These Bellingham businesses, agencies and services will be closed Jan. 1:
- All U.S. Postal Service post offices in Whatcom County.
- Bank locations across Whatcom County.
- All branches of the Bellingham Public Library.
- The Bellingham Food Bank.
- Most Bellingham city services will not be available.
- Washington State Department of Licensing offices.
- Whatcom County District Court will be closed.
- All Costco locations will be closed.
- All Trader Joe’s locations will be closed.
- FedEx services will not run, and locations will be closed.
- All UPS locations will be closed and services will not be running.
Most grocery stores, restaurants and other retailers will remain open, but may have shorter operating hours.
