Update: State Patrol cancels MIPA alert for missing person in Bellingham

The Washington State Patrol has issued a Missing Indigenous Person Alert (MIPA) on behalf of the Lummi Police Department for a missing adult.
Kayla James, 38, was last seen around 8 a.m. Monday, Oct. 6 heading east from the intersection of West Bakerview Road and Arctic Avenue in Bellingham, according to the Washington State Patrol.
James is described as 5 feet, 7 inches tall and weighing 165 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. James was last seen wearing a black puffer jacket and gray jogging pants. WSP reports that James has three identifying tattoos: a wolf on the right leg, “Princess” on the left wrist and “Ashley” on the neck.
Anyone with information is asked to call 911 and reference case number 25106403.
