Update: WSP cancels MIPA alert for missing Ferndale teen

UPDATE (Oct. 1): The alert was cancelled before noon Wednesday, along with a notification that Finkbonner had been located. No other information was provided. The original story is below.

The Washington State Patrol has issued a Missing Indigenous Person Alert (MIPA) on behalf of the Lummi Police Department for a missing teen.

Kamran Finkbonner, 15, was last seen around 9 a.m. Sept. 29 in the 5800 block of Golden Eagle Drive in Ferndale, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Finkbonner is described as 5 feet, 5 inches tall and weighing 150 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. Finkbonner was last seen wearing black sweatpants and a black t-shirt, according to WSP.

Finkbonner is autistic and needs very clear instructions from police or social workers to understand cause and effect of choices, according to WSP. While likely traveling on foot, it is unknown what direction Finkbonner was heading.

Anyone with information is asked to call 911 and reference case number 25105734.
