Whatcom Roundup: Dutch Bros in Bellingham; new restaurant and bar; spooky events

Dutch Bros coffee makes progress

The city of Bellingham is reviewing a pre-application for a Dutch Bros coffee drive-through, according to the city’s permit tracking system. The proposal calls for a 986-square foot coffee shop with no seating at 4015 Cordata Parkway near Bellis Fair mall.

New restaurant at previous Carnal location

Progress is being made on a new restaurant taking over the previous location of Carnal. A building permit application was filed for a new sign for the Izakaya Bar at 1234 N State St. The permit was submitted Oct. 23 and had not been approved as of Oct. 30.
