Lynden farm recognized as one of Washington’s best spots for a ‘fall fix’
Needing your “fall fix” before autumn is gone? A nationwide survey found each state’s top three “fall fix” spots, and a Whatcom County farm made the list.
The report was produced by Florida-based Gunther Volkswagen Delray Beach, which conducted an online survey of 3,021 people in September.
“The sample was designed to reflect a balanced mix across age, gender, and geography. To ensure statistical reliability, internal data sources were used to establish national population benchmarks, and a two-step process was applied: stratified sampling followed by post-stratification weighting. This ensured the results accurately represent the broader U.S. driving population,” the companey’s webpage states.
According to the survey, Bellewood Farms ranked as the third most popular spot for a “fall fix,” following two Seattle businesses.
In first rank was Seattle Cider Company, followed by Victrola Coffee Roasters.
Bellewood Farms is known for its pumpkin patch, apple orchard, harvest activities, distillery and cafe.
“Bellewood Farms turns into a fall postcard. Rows of apple trees glow against the backdrop of wide skies, the crisp air carries a hint of sweetness, and families wander at their own pace. It’s less about the apples in a bag and more about the mood — a day stitched together with laughter, color, and the slow rhythm of autumn,” the survey states.
This year, Bellewood’s apple orchard and pumpkin patch will close Friday, Oct. 31, but the farmstead remains open year round.
Operating hours vary throughout the farmstead, but Bellewood’s farm store, distillery tasting room, drinks and bakery are open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday. Bellewood’s cafe is open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Bellewood Farms is at 6140 Guide Meridian Rd.
