These Bellingham businesses will be closed for Monday holiday
Columbus Day is Monday, Oct. 13, and to honor the holiday some local stores, banks and other businesses will be closed.
City and county offices, schools, most retail stores and services will be operating Monday, Oct. 13, while the post office and most banks will close.
The city of Bellingham now recognizes the day as Coast Salish Day and not Columbus Day, which is the federally recognized holiday. Some places also recognize it as Indigenous Peoples Day.
These Bellingham businesses, agencies and services will be closed Monday, Oct. 13:
- All U.S. Postal Service post offices in Whatcom County.
- Bank locations across Whatcom County.
- The Bellingham Food Bank.
- FedEx locations will be open, but some locations and services will have modified hours.
Most grocery stores, restaurants and other retailers will remain open.
