Bellingham Oktoberfest pub crawl returns for its sixth year; how to join the fun
An annual Bellingham beer festival is returning this month, celebrating local breweries with costumes, music and prizes.
Sunnyland Fest, a pub-crawl style festival, runs Sept. 26-28 across breweries in Bellingham’s Sunnyland neighborhood, according to an email from Karolina Lobrow, owner of Otherlands Beer.
This is the event’s sixth year, bringing Oktoberfest to five breweries: El Sueñito Brewing Company, Stemma Brewing West location, Wander Brewing, Otherlands Beer and Kulshan Brewing Company’s Sunnyland location. Each participating brewery will also release a new special beer for the festival.
“Starting Friday, Sept. 26, all participating breweries will dish out punch cards to any beer enthusiast, who can then collect stamps at each location. Full punch cards can be turned in at their last stop to be entered into the raffle for a chance to win rad swag and gift cards from your favorite neighborhood breweries,” the event’s Facebook page states.
The event is free to attend, and Oktoberfest costumes are encouraged at each stop.
