Eight taco shops remain in our poll to find the best in Bellingham. Vote now

The quarterfinals are set in our poll to find the best taco shop in Whatcom County.

After the second round of voting closed last week, we’ve narrowed the field down to eight contenders: Taqueria Tecalitlan, COA Mexican Eatery, El Gitano, Black Sheep, El Seuñito Brewing, Mi Mexico, Mi Rancho Meat Market and Tadeo’s Mexican Restaurant.

As opposed to the first round of voting, which saw several close races, each second round matchup had a clear winner. The closest matchup was decided by nine votes and aside from that, the winners all cleared their opponents by at least 22 votes.

The eight remaining taco shops will be divided into four one-on-one matchups, with the winners advancing to the semifinalists.

You can vote for your favorite remaining taco shops below. The poll will close on Friday, July 18 at 12 p.m. You can vote as many times as you want. The semifinalists will be announced next week.
