Gas prices in Bellingham, Whatcom County and WA all increased this month

Gas prices in Whatcom County and Bellingham are up this month, but we found the cheapest gas station in Whatcom County.

The average price of a gallon of gas across the United States was $3.12 on Tuesday, June 10, according to AAA — 1 cent down from last month’s average. Last year, the nation’s average was $3.44.

Here’s the breakdown:

Washington

Washington’s average cost of gas per gallon is now $4.36 — a 9-cent increase from May’s average of $4.27. Last June, gas averaged $4.40 a gallon in Washington, according to AAA.

Washington has the third-highest gas prices in the country, following California at $4.68 a gallon and Hawaii at $4.48 a gallon, according to AAA.

Whatcom County

Whatcom County’s average cost of gas is $4.29 a gallon, a 19-cent increase compared to May.

On Tuesday, June 10, Bellingham’s average gallon of gas cost $4.30, according to AAA. That’s a 20-cent increase from last month’s average of $4.10.

The cheapest gas price in Whatcom County on Tuesday, June 10, was $3.79 at ARCO, 8247 Guide Meridian in Lynden, according to GasBuddy.

Last month, gas prices in Bellingham, Whatcom County and Washington decreased.
