Gas prices increase in Bellingham and Whatcom County as WA has 3rd highest costs in the US

Gas prices in Whatcom County and Bellingham have increased this month, and we found the cheapest gas station in Whatcom County. The average price of a gallon of gas across the United States was $3.10 on Tuesday, March 4, according to AAA — 1 cent down from last month’s average.

Here’s the breakdown:

Washington gas prices

Washington’s average cost of gas per gallon is now $4.12 — a 16-cent increase from February’s average of $3.96. Last March, gas averaged $4.12 a gallon in Washington, according to AAA.

Washington has the third-highest gas prices in the country, following California at $4.77 a gallon and Hawaii at $4.54 a gallon, according to AAA.

Whatcom County gas prices

Whatcom County’s average cost of gas is $4.09 a gallon, a 16-cent increase compared to February. On Tuesday, March 4, Bellingham’s average gallon of gas also cost $4.09, according to AAA, also a 16-cent increase from last month’s average of $3.93.
