Whatcom Roundup: Updates on this year’s Fairhaven Chocolate Walk, Northwest Tune-up festival

Here’s your weekly roundup of the latest retail, business and restaurant activity in and around Whatcom County:

Fairhaven Chocolate Walk tickets available now

The Fairhaven Chocolate Walk, an annual event that has sold out in previous years, is back for its fourth year from noon to 5 p.m. Feb. 8. Tickets are available now, and participants are invited to walk throughout historic Fairhaven, try chocolates from 18 different stops and shop local businesses.

Tickets cost $35 per person or $50 for VIP tickets that include alcohol tastings. The event is open for all ages. Tickets can be purchased online at the Fairhaven Association website.

Northwest Tune-Up Festival returns

The Northwest Tune-Up Festival, a biking, live music and beer festival at Bellingham’s waterfront, is returning for its fourth year this summer, and tickets and event registrations are open now.

The festival returns from July 11-13. Last year’s event welcomed about 10,000 attendees and featured 21 local breweries and cideries and a variety of bands.

Discounted Early Bird tickets are available now and range from $55-$247 for 3-day tickets.
