These Bellingham pharmacies, stores and offices will be closed over New Year’s Day holiday

New Year’s Day is Wednesday, Jan. 1, and to honor the national holiday some local stores, banks and other businesses will be closed both Dec. 31 and Jan 1.

These Bellingham businesses will be closed:

▪ All United States Postal Service post offices in Whatcom County are closed Jan. 1

▪ All Whatcom Transportation Authority bus services and offices will be closed Jan. 1

▪ Bank locations across Whatcom County will be closed Jan. 1

▪ All branches of the Bellingham Public Library will close at 5 p.m. on Dec. 31 and remain closed Jan. 1

▪ Most Bellingham city services will not be available Jan. 1

▪ Washington State Department of Licensing offices will be closed Jan. 1

▪ FedEx shipping stores will have modified services Dec. 31, and will be closed Jan. 1

▪ UPS shipping stores will be closed Jan. 1

▪ Walgreens will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Dec. 31 and closed on Jan. 1

▪ Rite Aid’s pharmacy will be closed Jan. 1, but in-store shopping will remain open

Many grocery stores, restaurants and other retailers will remain open.
