Shop local on Small Business Saturday as Bellingham hosts markets, wine tastings and sales
Small Business Saturday — also known as Shop Small Saturday — occurs each year on the Saturday after Thanksgiving and Black Friday as a day to support small businesses during the holiday shopping season.
This year, Small Business Saturday lands on Saturday, Nov. 30, and Bellingham is celebrating with local vendor markets, discounts and events across town.

Shop Small Saturday in Downtown Bellingham
Shops in downtown Bellingham will be offering special deals. The event’s shopping guide also includes coupons for various small shops such as The Third Planet Boutique, Greenhouse and MW Soap Works. The free downtown event runs from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 30.
Shop Small Holiday Makers Market
The Bellingham Makers Market is hosting a special Shop Small Saturday market from noon to 6 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 30 and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 1 at The Bellingham Cruise Terminal. The market will feature over 50 vendors and is free to attend. The Bellingham Cruise Terminal is at 355 Harris Ave. in Bellingham.
Shop Small Saturday Market at Boundary Bay
Boundary Bay Brewery will host its annual Shop Small Saturday Holiday Market from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 30. The free event will feature over 20 vendors in the beer garden and on the bistro deck. The brewery and restaurant will also be open. Boundary Bay Brewery is at 1107 Railroad Ave. in Bellingham.
Shop Small Market, wine and cheese tasting
Hela Provisions, a specialty wine, appetizer and grocery shop in Bellingham is hosting a mini vendor market, cheese and non-alcoholic wine tasting event for Shop Small Saturday. The event runs from noon to 3 p.m. and costs $5 per person to attend. Tickets can be purchased online in advance. Hela Provisions is at 2000 Franklin St. in Bellingham.
