The Bellingham Herald evaluated local costs of food, housing, utilities, transportation, healthcare and student loans to determine a “living wage” for Bellingham residents. According to our basic analysis, residents who are renting in Bellingham need to make at least $27.59 per hour gross pay, working full time. For homeowners, an individual needs to make at least $44.37 per hour gross pay.
The Bellingham Herald searched Indeed, a job listing website, listings to find positions advertising around $27.59 per hour with minimal requirements that are available as of Monday, May 6.
